Horse out at night for first time for over a year.

I'm so happy but also very apprehensive. My seriously accident prone horse who has been on and off box rest (for a variety of reasons) for over a year now has been turned away and will spend his first night out in a small herd of other geldings tonight. He seemed quite settled in the herd after an initial bit of bullying. He has been turned out in the past year but in a tiny paddock on his own, booted up to his armpits. Now he's naked, no boots, nothing.......eeeek. But it is such a thrill to see him being a horse again.

I've done the "wrap him in cotton wool" thing and that didn't work so its time to try the "chuck him out and don't look too closely" LOL.
