I found this test online and after doing it I was really impressed with how accurately it described Jock:
Your horse is... The Wall Flower. Wrap these sweet, kind, gentle horses up and keep them safe. They are not very brave and tend to internalize their worries. They want to please and will try very hard for you, but they can be pushed too fast very easily. They make few demands of you and are quite content to perform the same tasks repeatedly as long as you are pleased with them and the jobs are not to strenuous. Quiet enough for the beginner once they understand what is expected of them.

Ha ha I just did it for my youngster and she is Decf the rock star which is not to far from the truth.

Will do my mare later.

My old retired boy is a Goddess - I'm not surprised, he is the best!

They try very hard to please and will worry and be anxious if you are not happy with them. In the negative they can have scattered energy that is hard to get focused. This personality can be loved on as much as you want.

My little black horse is a 'Macho Man' - not sure how right this one is, he is a complex character
If you have a serious job to do, this is the horse for it. You will have to get out of the way and allow them some freedom in how they do it. Sit down, shut up and hold on! It is initially hard to get them to accept that you do know what you are talking about, so training in the beginning can be challenging. Use psychology and variety and start them into their career at a very early age.

Deffo her and nearly him, he is actually quite good at focusing for a 4yo entire. Mother and son :lol:

Tavia and Vandal "SEAF - the people pleaser. Soft, sensitive, and very sweet describes this horse that will try and try to please you. They like to be told exactly what you want and then have you help them perform it. This is not your go-it-alone type of horse. They need you for support and can get very rattled if expectations are too high. This horse is in your life for the relationship." Definitely them, again shows how Mum's influence the temperament of their babies.
 
Mine got "the solo artist" and yes I think It described her pretty well. Although she's not ridden yet I have a feeling she will be 'a quiet safe ride for anyone', but when you find the things she likes doing they 'get done with enthusiasm and efficiency'

It does actually describe him beautifully . . . and the irony is that (among other things) the name Kali comes from a Hindu Goddess ;).

He is easily content and can do a good job for you as long as it is not demanding physically or emotionally. He likes his world predictable and safe. He would rather be a little bored than stressed. If repeatedly put into pressure situations he can react seemingly unpredictably. If you can find a quiet solid job for him, he will perform it repeatedly and safely."

This describes mine almost perfectly. The only change I would make is that she tries so hard to please me and I definitely do not need low expectations! Just needs a gentle rider to iron out the quirks.

My younger one is a reluctant rock star and again is accurate in his description. Good to know he has potential lol.
 
This test has been around for a while. I did it a few years ago for my mare and was interested to try it again as I felt her personality has changed recently due to her cushings - but no - she is still a reluctant rock star!!

This is so true, he can have his little cheeky moments but this pretty much describes him.

I actual say 'steady eddie' to him if he ever does get a bit worried or excited, but usually once I am confident and calm he is a brave and happy boy.

Took him out on a hack (with friend and RI) in snow other day and was snowing and windy and he was total dream pony. Love him so much, my confidence levels riding and doing stuff on the ground have soared since I got him 6 months ago :)
 
Mine is SLCA the solo artist and the description is definitely him, though I can see bits of him in posts above too (the lone wolf and steady Eddie). But really good - I was sceptical especially as some if the questions are hard to answer with only the four options. Has anyone bought the whole book?
 
Fab survey, my horse comes out as The People Pleaser, very accurate, he is desperately insecure and even at 18 years old, he is still desperately insecure. 😘

I have done this quiz before but thought would do it again as it's been a while! Funnily (and after reading the full info bit) it is quite accurate.
My youngster "Rocky" - The Accountant (yep, acts quite bolshy and confident but is actually rather sensitive and needs consistency)
My 23 yo horse "Woody" - The Rockstar (most DEFINITELY! He always has been one who likes to be centre of attention)
My 28 yp pony "Chancer" - The Wallflower (again, pretty accurate. Although he is the boss of the heard is is easily worried and likes to have reassurance)
 
Me and daughter both answered for our boy...my answers came out as wall flower, hers as steady eddy :) He is very eager to please, but can worry in strange situations, gets a bit cross if he doesn't understand what you're asking, but is very gentle with a beginner (my son) and likes a bit of fuss. He's also very nosey!

My pony got this too! Describes him down to a T! Great test!
