horse pooped on Idoit driver's car!!

Has anyone had people honk their horns or give you a hard time while you were out riding on the road?? My friend had this happened a while ago when she was riding... She said she found that persons car and well had her horse poop on it. Hehehe. I had a jerk that just wanted me off the road too. He was right next to me honking at me and telling me that horses should be the road!! Has anyone had your horse poop on so damm idiots car too, or at least you thought about it

I'm sure we have all thought it and worse but have to agree with weezy here better to just raise a hand and smile...if you can. Nothing worse than a snooty nosed horse rider

how is that going to persuade anyone? He's just going to be worse with the next rider he meets. I hope that your friend doesn't live near me because my horse can be traffic shy and I don't need other riders antagonising motorists.
 
Have had moments when I have threatened to tether my horses on the village green when the parish council have annoyed me but I would never do it.
Could a horse pooing on a car could be considered as criminal damage?
 
lol!!! that has really made me laugh!! I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that horses were on the road long before cars were built and if anyone tries to tell you that roads were built for cars, its just not true. Romans were the first to build proper roads (i thnink this is all true, i take no responsibilty for anyone relaying this and being laughed at cos i got it all wrong. This is my thoughts!!) and they didnt have cars but they rode horses. I know they built the roads long and straight to march on but they also rode horses. Thats what i think and im sticking to it! My dad hates horses, esp on the road, when i told him that he shut up! lol!
The poop thing is def a good idea, im gonna start taking number plates and find them in the night lol!!

True as that may be (although I suspect that modern roads are built with cars in mind) that does not give horses more right to be on the roads. Horses have as much right to use roads as other vehicles, however as vulnerable road users we rely on drivers consideration towards us and antagonising drivers like this is counter-productive.
 
My horse will poo on command!
There is a really annoying woman round the way who is obsessed with cleaning the road. They have a farm, which the road goes right through. Her husband picks up stray bits of hay off the yard, if some falls off his boots. She even hosed the road the other day during the last big freeze. We had been frozen up for a few days but the road was dry, next day there was an inch of ice on it (just trying to point out how daft she is).
Anyway, Cheekster has a crap right on the crossover between the 2 yards - everytime!
KatG - when horses have to pay road tax your argument may be worth repeating.
 
Yes horses were here before cars but Tarmac wasent designed for horses.what a daft thing to say!.No wonder drivers get fed up with horses and wont slow down for us riders with attitudes like that!!.

Personally although I think that we should be accepted on the roads with good grace and as you point out horses were there first....... I think we all need to bear in mind that we as horse owners pay no road tax specifically for horses using the road (and car drivers should pay road tax for their cars) they will be treated with the same contempt as cyclists and branded as freeloaders etc.

NOT my personal opinion, just what the car drivers probably think when we 'inconvenience' them by stopping them roaring down the country lanes at speed!!!!!!!
 
Ah, this one always crops up. Horses are just not designed for roads. Personally give me a field, wood anything but a road. With the volume of traffic on roads - even country roads it's just not a good idea. I understand it from the point of access (for which there are normally roadsigns, to warn drivers), but a leisurely hack down a road just doesn't compute with me. As for crapping on the car if it had been mine I'd had given you a whipping for your trouble whilst you licked my car clean - behave

Actually, I think that it would be great if it was made illegal for horses to be ridden on the roads... The government would have to provide us with alternative hacking, all over the UK!

Seems a very childish, stupid thing to do, if this post is real (DOUBTFUL) the offender has probably just annoyed this person further and could potentially cause a fatal accident for other riders....

Its riders with attitude like this that makes me embarassed to be part of the equine community.

Fact: Horses are a pain to drivers & don't pay road tax.

The very least you can do is always smile and say thank you - I roll my window down and shout at cat bum faced riders who refuse to acknowledge me (including prats out hunting - noone is safe from my roth!).
 
well all I will say is next time that driver see's your friend, I doubt there going to have changed if anything just worse

I have to agree with the general feeling that what your friend did was pretty stupid and has done nothing to endear us to the motorist in general.

For future reference just take the moron's number and have the local bobby have a quiet word, it usually does the trick. Getting abusive or rude helps nobody.
 
OK, the original post looks a bit trolly to me but I do have a story about a horse pooing on a car - not on purpose, mind you! I used to work with scurry ponies as a groom (still help out at shows) and Ren, a pony in one of our pairs (Rock&Roll) had a thing about pooing up against things. He never seemed to just poo in the middle of a stable but had to back his bum up to something, which left little brown, Ren height stains everywhere! How he coped in the field I do not know. Anyway, we were at New Forest show and while we were away from the lorry a BMW parked right next to us, so we couldn't drive our vehicle out the way we'd planned. I had to get the ponies ready so tied them to the side of the lorry on logs, which are weighted ropes, so there was a bit of room for the to back up if they wanted. Ren took one look at the Beemer (while I was cleaning the other pony's legs), backed right up to it and poo'ed all over the driver's window!

I have to point out that we did clean it off, after we'd finished rolling around the floor laughing, obviously.
