A few recent comments on threads have made me wonder by what percentage people percieve horse values vary? I know in September there is a glut of off to uni sales but surely snowy January when everyone is skint is lower? how much extra would you pay in May?
Just curiosity and interested in opinions.

This time of year they are definitely cheaper, my recent purchase was an absolute bargain as the pony was on full livery and the owner couldn't face a winter of monthly bills, he was advertised for £3500 and I paid under half of that! He's definitely worth the £3500 price tag and would have sold for near that in spring but given the time of year I got a bargain :)

I think after last winter people are fearing the worst, Not sure how much less you would pay in the thick of it? People tend to hold on to sell till spring but I'm sure they will be some bargains to be had in the middle of a big freeze!

Are you thinking of buying? X

No I have a horse on loan and hoping he willl remain for a long time. Just find the horse pricing interesting. Everything else has gone up loads but horses are at a similar price to 20 years ago....
