Horse prices??

Whilst scouring several sale sites I can't help but notice how much horses have increased! When looking for a general all rounder 5 years back I was looking at about £3000. Ponies were selling for around £1700 or less... Have horse prices really increased that much or.. have I lost the plot.. (again!) ?
 
i think they have decreased alot recently actually.....everyone seems to be dropping the price as nobody is paying the hight prices, presumably the credit crunch has had an impact
 
I guess the cost of keeping them has come into it for some people looking to make a profit, i keep being told the horse market is rubbish for selling at the mo but that should mean things are cheaper for buying

That's what I though but from the look's of things that doesn't seem to be the case. Livery is still the same price though ( horrendous!)
 
well compared to five years ago they have raised but i mean recently more prices seem to be lowering and lowering. Ive seen some brilliant bargains about that id jump at if i was looking for another horse.
