ok, im going to put my horse up for sale in the next month.
And i was wondering, how do i know what price to put him up for.

hes a very talented horse, but looking at some prices i just cant seem to get a figure for him. there are some horses similar to him and some are £10k and others are £18k.

i was just wondering is there anyone who would be able to help me sort of decide,
like what prices are beleiveable or not for a very talented horse.

sorry i know this is gobbaldiguch, but i dont wana put too much detail about him, otherwise it would be advertising.

It depends how much you want to sell him. The more expensive horse unless they have got something really going for them are not selling but you can put your foot in the water at a more inflated price and see if anyone nibbles.

If you want to sell fairly quickly go for the lower end. It does really depend on the horse and what it has done. A few more brief details might help. If you do want to sell then I would be tempted to go middle of the range 12-15k and see what happens. You can always drop or accept an offer.

well he's 7. holstein, jumping fox / 1.25. qual blue chip power 07, welsh masters newc and fox, ametuer, newc 2nd rnds 07 & 08, hickstead 07, jumps 1.45m at home

iv been lookin at prices for a while and love him to bits, and need a good price, as i want to get baby horses again. as im changing direction with what i want to do.

If he is straightforward and good looking with a decent record I would go on the higher side 15-18k. At that price he should sell easily. People like to buy horses with a good competition record that appear they would go on.

yer his print out looks very good, hes extremly good looking, and looks very good over a fence, well put together, and exc conformation and straight mover,

but as you can see i could put him on any price in the bracket of 12 -18k and he would fit in it alright, its just WHERE! hahahaha lol

thank you for your help tho! sorry i cant be really open with his detials i just dont wana get told off by the h&h police! hehe

I would def go the higher end but I guess it also comes down to how much money you need to have from the sale etc and how much of a hurry you are in. Good luck anyway.
