Mmmm, I would generally be a sceptic. Except for one story I heard of.

Would lovel to find out that it was true.

Just she said to one of the girlies that her horse had a bad attitude and had no respect for her

Makes you wonder where they get stuff from!!

*I might be about to commit virtual forum suicide now*

I believe in it, yes, without a doubt but then I have experienced communicating with animals myself. I did a short course, with animals I didn't know, over a distance via a photo, so I ouldn't have been interpreting body language and the messages I got tallied up with what the tutor told us afterwards about the animals, and there was no way of me knowing or guessing beforehand. Probably one of those things for me I had to experience to know it was real.

I suspect many people will reply with scepticism and maybe there are good and bad or even fakers in the profession, but if you witnessed a real communication and you knew the animal yourself I don't think you'd be left in any doubt.

I like to keep an open mind, but veer more toward sceptic.

I wouldn't pay for one unless I had witnessed them do wonders with a horse I knew.

Each to their own, but I agree, there are better things to spend my money on!!

I used to ride a chestnut mare for someone who was a bit of a handful. She got out a 'horse colourist' to see what was wrong who promptly told her that the horse's problem was that her rugs were the wrong colour. So owner went out and bought every rug in a different colour (god knows how much she spent) and guess what.... horse was still a handful.

errrrmmm "bad attitude?" not something I' d expect to hear. had no respect for her, possibly, but horse would normally have had a reason to think that rather than just because horse had a bad attitude.

I don't knwo the full story but doesn't sound genuine to me.

I'd recomend reading "What horses say" if anyone is interested in true life stories and make your own mind up

We had a visit by an equine psychic at my old yard.
Most interesting!!!!!!! Apparently my mare likes fresh carrots and clean water.
TBH it maybe helped develop the bond between some horses and owners and did no harm, so whatever floats your boat.

What's the story, AmyMay?

Okey Dokey - here goes.

The people involved are all 'normal' people. Sane, rational and not at all fluffy bunny types. However, somehow a horse psychic ended up on the yard to 'talk' to one of her horses.

The horse in question had a history of lameness that no one could get to the bottom of. So all were interested to hear what the pshychic came up with. She correctly said that the horse had evented previously, and had had a rotational fall. Whe then said the horse told her that he felt he had never recovered from either the physical trauma of the fall or the psychological trauma. He always seemed to have a headache and his ?? leg was always giving him trouble. This was the leg that the horse had lameness issues with.

She had never met the horse before, was not told anything about him - and everything she said was spot on.

What gets me about the story though is that this horse then went on to tell the pychic that his mate - the grey across from him, was terribly unwell, and no one knew.

The horse was diagnosed with some sort of cancer the very next week - and was dead within a month.

Sends shivers down my spine everytime I think about it........

Wow!

I know Henryhorn talks of one (who sadly I think is now dead) that can also send shivers up your spine.

If they work for us, then if the person has the gift then why not for animals?

AmyMay,

Do you remember who the psychic was.

Few years ago the number of a lady in scotland was being passed about on a yard, you phoned rather than there be a visit.

Couple of spot on comments about horse AND owners! but one i remember was about the YO horse, who's bed was left up all day, the horse told her it couldn't understand not having a bed like the one next door (full livery) and it wanted a sleep in the day.

Each to their own but if i ever had some really spare cash i would be tempted

To OP - I try to keep an open mind, and would love one to come and see my boy, but I can't really justify the money.

i am truelly sceptical of stuff like this, but recently heard an account that would be hard to put down to lucky guess work.

Lady at our yard recently sold her horse, she only had it a few months, but it was young and a bit much for her and she ended up selling for something quieter.

anyhoo. new owner of hoss emailed our lady and said she had a hoss whisperer up to see new hoss & could lady shed light on a few things that were mentioned.

now, new owner had never been to our yard and had only spoken to lady a brief time after the sale. she didn't come to our yard at all, the dealings were done by a dealer. apparently new owner did not give anything away before or after.

horse described bars in her stable (our yard), she also said that horse opposite snored at night and annoyed her, another horse who kicked his door also annoyed her. (accurate description of antisocial neighbours)

she like the lady with the big teeth, (apparently the woman who bred her had rather prominent teeth), but there was an older woman who feared her (our lady) this lady also had bad legs?

there was some other stuff about her new home, but all this seemed to be bang on and very detailed.

I have been so generous with the carrots and cuddles since hearing this, just in case we decide to get her up to do ours!

Amymay that sounds like a few stories I have heard, and I understand it is perfectly possible for one horse to communicate about another if they are too ill or distressed to do so.

Best story I heard was v lighthearted. Owner got more than she had bargained for when horse gleefully told animal communicator that owner had once a snog and fumble round the back of the stable with the groom! Neither owner or groom had told a soul but horse had gossiped it all round the other animals on the yard - and judging by the owner going bright red the roumer was true!

Thats made me go all cold. Well I fess up (can't believe am admiiting this on HHO) I did sort of buy a session from Ebay, you could buy 10 questions. Some of the answers were accurate. Some quite umm I can;t think of the word, Could have been for any horse

I read this back its makimg me chuckle am rolling eyes at myself.

I didnt believe in any of this kind of stuff until I had Oscar "talked to". He told us some stuff he just couldnt have known....makes you think I suppose!

There were quite a few of us round the door and the man was standing with us, he said Oscar likes having 2 mummys (I share with sis), he hates being brushed - true, that we were his best mummys and he didnt like the others coz they were mean to him (this made us both blub!) lots of other stuff that he just couldnt have know

The two are mutually exclusive

First horse looks like it could have evented (tb type) owner says more than she remembers in booking call - rest is good guesses from the body language of the horse (and owner). Who knows if the horse has a headache or not?

Second hores - spot horse in next stable who, to you, looks unwell. Everybody's got used to this horse, failed to notice deterioration in condition (presumably so far only slight) so mention it a psychic finding to get owner to take notice. Sadly proved right.

You don't need to be psycic, you need to understand people, animals and read body language better than the average person does. And be prepared to charge money for your guesses.
