Horse racing peeps - why no entries yet for some of the Ascot races?

I have been following a horse that one of my neighbours has connections to and it is supposed to be running in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot on Saturday - but no runners are showing. Is it usual to wait so long to announce the runners?

It usually means there hasn’t been enough entries so they open it up again o see if anyone else wants to enter. Saying that I wouldn’t have thought that would happen at Ascot so maybe there’s another reason ?
