Aah - you lovely person you! You're only human, and you reacted in a very human way - you have nothing to feel bad about at all. Don't let that a******le of a man rob you of your peace of mind. Vive le french police!!
 
WTG Shady, Hope that a$$hole is in a world of pain after you belting him. This is why I couldn't be a welfare officer (had offer) my temper would get the better of me all too often. Hope your poor hand feels better soon, poor,poor horse hoping he heals. You are my hero.
 
Too much to hope that you fractured the bloke's eye socket and broke his nose!

Forgive yourself for one tiny error in one major good deed. You've certainly got my support!
 
I admire you. You are trying to make a difference. You are very brave. We all loose it sometimes ,the guy deserved a punch if not more. Be kind to yourself and hold your head up high. I hope the horse recovers well.x

Yes, as you know it was unprofessional behaviour, if understandable, and fortunately it hasn't had any repercussions either for you personally or for the prosecution.
As SusieStokes2 says professionals are often in that kind of situation but must keep a grip on their feelings. If you feel that you might react in a similar way again perhaps you should take a step back until you are better able to cope in stressful situations.

I'm so glad that the horse is out of that dreadful environment now and, of course, you should remember that if it wasn't for you and your colleagues, that wouldn't have happened.

This breaks my heart. He will now know love with you,
BUT the damage is done :-( They don't forget.
How can somebody be so evil.
I hope he recovers as best he can, and thank you for being such an amazing lady, being there for those that really need it xx
