They do it through the combined expertise of several people ususally! Depending on what they are in for it is a combination of sensitive re-schooling or groundschooling over time. Also vet attention (again depending on scenario) and physio/chiropractic therapy. Also often farrier/nutritionist is consulted.
Basically they work directly with improving the horse after a fall/accident or just to reschool a problem horse. This is supported by work on the muscles/injury sites by the other professionals
