Horse retirement in Kent (or surrounding)

Hi - can anyone recommend a retirement home for my much loved rising 19yr 15.3hh mare in Kent or surrounding area? I'd like her to be in a small group and being a 'good doer' not turned out on acres and acres of lush grass. I'd like to have overnight stabling & somewhere with a good level of individual care. She has sweet itch in Spring, which is managed via fly repellant from the vet, otherwise has no medical issues. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

There is a prison my aunt (who lives in kent) sent her retired mare to. The inmates (it was a low risk prison) learned animal husbandry skills, and the stables formed part of a larger farm. I thought this was a fabulous idea because it helped other people to learn from her mare. They were taught basic animal handling and working in a team, and as a result of dealing with the animals they learned inter-personal skills, and this is so important when they are released into the wider community, and they had a set of skills they could use.

When her mare was ill they kept my aunt in the full picture, and took the decision of when to put her down based on veterinary advice. They paid for cremation and returned the ashes to my aunt. She couldn't have been happier with their care of her little mare, and has recommended them to several people on her yard. (I don't think the retirement livery cost her anything- but I would have to check).

I am not sure of the name of the prison but I am sure it is in Kent. And she could visit whenever she wanted to...
it's an unusual (and contentious) point of view but it should be a consideration.

Thank you very much for the pointer, it sounds really interesting & in a way good that in retirement she will be able to give something to the inmates. I'll definately check it out. Maybe I'll be sending her to prison!!!
