Can people please advise me on what I need to have in a Horse rider insurance policy and and companies people reccomend? Have been shopping around but not really too sure what I need to be looking for!

A good and popular option is to take out Gold membership with the BHS, it covers you riding your own and other peoples horses, and other people riding yours if they don't have their own insurance. About £60/yr

Give County Insurance a call on 0800 975 6772 or look at their website:www.horsebox-insurance.co.uk. I found them realy friendly and helpful (plus saved lots on my policies!).
They do more than just horsebox insurance, they also do horse insurance and rider insurance etc.!
Or you could join the BHS as a gold member as you should be covered to ride then.

When I needed rider insurance I took out BHS gold membership, more cover than many more expenive policies and lots of additional benefits too like the legal helpline and the magazine.
