Hi everyone,

Has anyone rode or regularly rides around Bewl Water?
It is fairly close to me and im just wondering what it is like ( ground , any narrow paths/steps etc ) ??

Also what is the min amount of work a horse should be in to get round the 12 1/2 mile track?( at a walk maybe short bursts of trot)

Thank you in advance :) :)

I will also be interested to hear the answers to this! I'm going there for the first time in a few weeks! Also very local to me! Where are you?

Hi have walked all the way round and ridden some of it, you do have to do some road work and a couple of gates- the roads are very quiet lanes
The water level is high at the moment so no where to canter trot maybe
If your riding at weekend will be very busy with walkers as bike riders dogs of leads etc
It's a lovely place to ride quiet flat mainly grass and hard mud paths if wet can be muddy
Enjoy

This ^^^^

Really lovely - but avoid a gorgeous day unless you ride really early or you will spend the whole time dodging cyclists and dog walkers.

so pretty busy then? :P
I assume horse will have to be pretty used to people coming out of no where?

does anyone know any other routes ( shorter) near this area and maybe less busy?
