I am looking to go on a horse holiday in September this year, I dont have my own horse currently so needs to be somewhere with sensible but forward going horses to ride. Ive got my eye on two places and wonder if anyone can give me recommendations of what they are like, and whether they would recommend them - or any other places in England. Scotland is too far away and Wales doesn't appeal as Id have to drive there and don't fancy it! Mainly interested in hacking and trekking, preferably about 3-4 hours riding a day as im not sure i could take any more than that! would like other things to see and do in the area as well. am i looking for the impossible?! i dont want to go abroad this year.

The places Im looking at are Raygill riding centre in Co. Durham, and Murthwaite Green in the Lake District.

Thanks all!
