Going on a holiday just outside Falmouth with a friend this summer and we both fancy going riding when we're down there. Anyone know any good stables for hacking? Any beach riding?

We're both competent experienced riders

Buller HIll at Redruth do rides down to Portreath, I expect there is somewhere near Perranporth but don't know who, sorry I'm not alot of help, there is nowhere near Falmouth that do rides on the beaches and tbh the beaches there aren't really big enough for a load of horses as well as all the 'emmets'!

An emmet is what you will be when you are on hols down here!!!

And in a sentence...
"Bloody emmets blocking up the road as usual..." LOL

An emmet is an ant. Just how the Cornish describe tourists. Darn emmets!!! Have a nice time and wave to Falmouth for me - I grew up 5 miles inland.

Oh, haha! I though you were going to say a seagull or something

I will have a lovely time being an emmet I'm sure

I'll try not to block up too many roads, although with my friends driving I can't promise anything!

Have fun, i'm 3 miles from falmouth, wave to me to, if you want any suggestions for pubs etc, pm me, you can always call in for coffee.

i would say constantine aswell and as for pubs the golden lion on stithians reservoir is very good the food is excellent! x

Hey FnM

I'm very glad you refer to it as Stithians Reservoir and not Stithians Lake has seemingly become recently. Didn't the Golden Lion change hands fairly recently, or am I mistaken?

Reen Manor in Perranporth, literally a 5min ride from the beach! Wheal Buller in Redruth, they do great day rides i would deffo recommend there!!
