in stable,only does it in stable as far as I know and doesn't have a rug on at night but does it on occasions had a rug on.
Anyone any suggestions on how to get her to stop.Its looking like a toilet brush now -a well used one at that!
Have tried Dermoline shampoo and that no rub stuff.

Sounds like sweet itch. Our sweet itchers itch more when they come in...

Use aloe vera gel on it to soothe the itch, then a anti midge cream and a fly rug when outside.
 
make a solution of TCP in a plant sprayer and spray away :-) make sure it goes deep into the hairs, it will stink but keeps midges away and heals at the same time
 
Pinworms

Have a look around the anus (ewww I know) for any yellowy/white deposits

Pinworms are not killed by normal modern worming programs, especially if you've used mectins and equest etc.
