Horse Sanctuary/Rescues

Hi Guys,

I have a week off work this week and OH has said he will take me and our little niece to a rescue centre/sanctuary for a day out.
I in the area surrounding Bolton Lancashire and was wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere?

Hope pastures are having an open day on Sunday in Leeds (bit of a trek but we're going, I'm from your area-ish).

There is Bleakholt but they mainly focus on the dogs.

There is a natural horsemanship place opening in Wigan tomorrow and Monty Roberts and Kelly Marks will be there doing demos. You need a ticket which is free but I'm sure if you phone in the morning you can see about getting some? More of a horsey day out than a rescue http://www.horseshrink.co.uk/
