Just one to watch out - my horse is currently up for sale and I had an email from someone called Clark asking how much would you take for this? Do get back soon, Clark.
I replied as i found the email in my junk box which was sent 5 days before so i asked if he was still looking. I found it a bit dodgy as he said what price would you take for "this"....not her, or the horse.
I then got a long email from him stating he was on a business trip in Malaysia and that he wants to buy the horse for his daughter and can arrange legitimate transport etc as his daughter lives on a farm out there. He keeps mentioning money and asking he wants to know the mode of payment. He asked all the right questions at the end of the email - whats the reason for sale, any vices etc but i knew it was dodgy and haven't replied. I then googled his name Clark Roberts, and a link to the horseabout website came up with his name saying its a big scam and for everyone to beware.
I know most are aware of situations like this but this particular person has been doing it recently as he only emailed me today!. Another is going around with someone wanting to pay via Paypal for a horse without viewing it either.
Just thought id share!!!

A couple of months ago I decided to advertise my mare I had someone call around 8 pm at night he was foreign he asked:

Was my horse still for sale

Had it had any baby's?

What colour?

How old?

Did I know anyone else selling horses in my region?

What was my postcode?

It was very scary, I said if he had seen the advert surely he would know the majority of stuff asked , when he asked me for my postcode I put the phone down and ignored his calls.

I decided not to sell in the end to be honest these sort of calls put you right off advertising you area and number to the public!
