Hi - I'm having a new problem with my lovely huge 17.2 warmblood who is now creating since leaving his 2 other pals in the field. We moved all three of them to a field a 5 min walk down the road from our yard to give our field a rest to roll, harrow, fertilize etc. Now when I try and take him away from the lovely grass and his mates I have this huge horse, bucking, whizzing and being a complete pain. I managed to get him into the box but he was calling constantly and spinning in the box attempting to get out. I know the problem is leaving the grass and his friends because he cant see them but he is now impossible to ride and its all very stressful.
This luckily is not permanent as we should have the field back in a month but how do I manage to deal with him in order to ride in the meantime! Any help!
P.S He is 13 yrs old and normally very docile and Ive never had a problem leaving the old field before. Its not practical to bring in all three horses from the field either. Look forward to hearing from you all

Actually I thought about a chifney as I did used to have one but now loaned out to a friend. Perhaps I need to retrieve it back and become a bit tougher with him?

Any more thoughts?
