Hi
Im new on here but just wanted to know what you think about this. I have recently taken on a horse on part loan and have completely fallen in love with him. He was in a bit of a state when i first started, he had really bad mites and looked as tho he hadnt been groomed in years! the other sharer had had him for a few months before i started and hadnt even noticed them! she literally just tacks up and rides a few times a week! i go up every day and when i met her last night she told me she was going to buy him! im devastated, especially as ive put some much time into him and am really attached! she didnt seem to care tho!what can i do??

I'm afraid theres not a lot you can do if the owner is happy about her buying him, and theres no way you can buy him yourself

if you can buy him you need to convince the owner that he will be better off with you.

If you cant buy him then maybe do the same thing but convince the owner not to sell, maybe you could take himon full loan?
Explain to the owner all that you have done and that the other person doent really bother with him?

Or if he is sold maybe you can get the new owner to let you continue seeing him?

Sorry to hear that

this sort of situation can come with the territory of being involved with a horse that doesn't belong to you. There's not much you can do unless you can buy him.

I think before sharing any horse it's wiser only go for a horse that is happy and well cared for, it saves future heartache.

Thanks...i'll ask her if she'll mind if i carried on with him until something else comes up! i wish i could just afford my own lol!

Hi Goldie12,

Whereabouts in the country are you?

I'm looking for someone to share my horse or if you're too far away perhaps someone else will know someone looking?

there is often plenty of people looking for sharers with their horse look in you free ads or ad mart, the trouble with a loan or shared horse is that they always belong to someone else and you always need to consider that they could easily be taken from you at any time, sometimes your lucky and the owner offers to sell the horse to you, other times your not so lucky and put all you time, effort, skills and money into making a horse sellable and never get any thing back from it
