Hi

My friend has asked me to help her look for a new horse. My friend lost her horse in a sudden bad bout of colic and she had owned him for all of his 22 years of his life. So she will give the right horse a home for life and they will be truely loved.

She's looking for a very safe happy hacker & occasional fun ride.

14hh - 15hh
Over 8 years
100% in traffic
Must hack alone
No cobs
No vices
Must be quiet in all ways
South West preferred
Up to £3,000

I think this is mission impossible!? But, lets see if any of you lovely people know of that special horse?

Thanks in advance x

perhaps a bit of a 'mission impossible' !

I know of one that might suit - but he is a bit over the £3000, and 16hh. oh, and hes in the east midlands! But pm me if you want any more details :)

My instructor has a haflinger mare for sale on horse deals that might fit the bill. It is her mum's horse for sale due to lack of time. Gorgeous little horse. I think she can get a bit strong but is very safe on the roads, as proven by the fact that she stood still and sensible when my instructors horse was hit by a car while they were hacking out together. She's bred a foal from her before too. Search under east midlands. They have a cleveland bay for sale too who is apparently a bombproof hack but he's over 15hh.

Umm! My friend is a very petite older lady, so height must be between 14-15hh and being strong is prob not going to work either! I knew it was going to be hard....

The owner of the haffie was also a petite older lady (instructor's mum) who hunted her - I believe that she was manageable but needed a pelham for hunting. It might be worth reading the ad and maybe giving them a call, as I only know about her second hand.
