Hey, looking for a show name for my mare indi, she doesn't have a registered name on her passport and was jus called indi by her previous owners.
Was thinking about independence? Or spelling in indipendence to link it with her name, but not sure yet?
She is a 16.2 thoroughbred mare, chestnut on her passport but I think she's more of a reddy bay with a black mane and tail.
Any suggestions welcome :-D

Aw you took my suggestion in your post! My friend has a mare called Pennines Independence, so you could preface it with where she came from or your name or anything you fancy.

Indi 500

Indisputable Star or something along those lines..

sorry crap with names, I always want to give them posh names like Rupert Smythington the Third :)

technically no you cant use a prefix that isnt registered unless its not a prefix its just part of their long name ;) mine is Oaktree Pippi Longstockings shes a pbw and i registered her with WPCS like this nd they never said anything about the 'prefix' and i've never been picked up on it its just her name.

what about Miss Indipendence? im awful with names - my horse is called pippi longstockings because she has four white legs :L very original!

Aw My horse is called Indy. I shortened it from Indiana Warpaint (she's a coloured and the Indiana isn't a prefix or anything, it's the Warpaint that comes from her sire)...
Oh what about something like Indiana Sunrise or Indiana Sunset?

There's some nice ones there thankyou. If I was to register it and I wanted to use her dads prefix what could I use as a show name
Sire is:- Rock City
So do I have to use the 'city' bit?
Sorry never had a horse without a registered name before lol

The stud who bred her would register their prefix and use that. I dont think you can do it yourself.

You will notice I said preface, not prefix, can a horse not have a two word name unless it is registered? I just meant a long name and a preface as it sounds better before than after?

Rock City is just his name, there is no prefix as such, you could use either part as her name if you want.

Indi Just Rocks
Indipendent City, too masculine for a mare really

I would say that if you are going to spell Independence "wrong" then spell it really wrongly otherwise it will just look like a spelling mistake. eg Inndipin-Dance
name suggestions
Inn -on-the-Rocks
Dance at the Inn
Inndipin-Dance
Dearest Indira
India-Rubber
Indian Interlude
