i have my first ever novelty showing with my cob on the 22nd may. Right now his mane is growing back from a hog and looks like the dinosaur mane look. It’s only a local show and i’m doing classes such as pony judge would most like to take home, pony with the cutest face etc.
Will i have to hog him for the show as the dinosaur look isn’t the best

it would make him look smarter but if you want to grow it out eventually you could leave it as its novelty classes and a bit of fun.. good luck

I don't know much about novelty classes but I'd say stick with the growing mane because if you hog it again you will only be in this same position again and you might be doing bigger shows ect so I'd say go with the dinosaur look because it will soon grow out and look great! Good luck as well!
