I have never done showing in my life but fancy having a go with my new horse.She is approx four and half years old, a registered gypsy cob.She lives in Cheshire I live in Liverpool.Any ideas where to start?

I'd go to a show and watch first if you can, paying attention to what they're wearing, how the horses are turned out, and the ringcraft involved.

Because its not 'torture' to some of us...... :rolleyes: each to their own right!

Quite, and I can't say I ever felt torture with my hunter who always won his entry fee and diesel money back, regularly beat the professionals and gave me a lot of fun over a number of years at the highest profile shows.

OP, you can have lots of fun showing your traditional pony and he/she will gain education, manners and travelling experience. Enjoy the days out.
