My mare has a few "issues" at the moment. I moved yards 3 weeks ago and for the first week and a half she was on box rest due to a foot abscess but that was all sorted out last Thursday.

I put her out on Thursday evening, after the farrier had been, with a single gelding and she came straight into season. So, loads of nibbling, large erections!!, squirting, nickering later she has become a serious pain to handle ie. screaming, pushy behaviour, box walking, barging. Basically being a pain in the arse!

At the old yard she was like a dope on a rope, very settled, no marish tendencies, actually she was top of her herd of 3 geldings and no fighting in sight amongst any of them.

So, I hope this will, given time, all settle down and perhaps when she comes out of season it will help too but am very worried about this separation anxiety as she used to suffer from this at a previous yard but was much better at the last yard!

Comments please..... and thanks!
