I think it's an American site, but it has an interactive image of a horse where you can pick out an area of concern. The site will then take you to a list to pick out a description that most matches your horse's ailment. It tells you a bit more about possible problems, what you should be doing and what your vet might do.
I haven't been through the site thoroughly, so feedback welcome, but I thought others might find it interesting. It's obviously not a substitute for proper vet advice, but it could help prompt questions and encourage action where needed.
