Horse size and rug size

My Dutch Warmblood 17.1hh was in 6ft 3 and fit him perfectly with a bit of axtra room over his bum and shoulders.

New boy 17.2hh Polish Warmblood MW is in 7ft, but needs some new rugs so, oh dear, I'm going to have to go rug shopping!

16.1 WB 6'9" - she can squeeze into a 6'6" but the larger size accomodates her on her fat days and with the amount she eats she'll probably have lots of those!

My mare is 15.2hh TBx something (poss Hackney, apparently), and she's in 6' 3" rugs. I think she is quite long-backed, as she isn't very broad.

When I bought Genie she was 14.2hh and Mazzie's rug's fitted her. She's now about 15hh (being measured tomorrow) and in 6ft rugs.

My boy is 14.1, l/w native cob X and is in 5'6 - some makes fit him better than others though.

my very long welshy d gelding is about 15.2/3 and takes a 6'6 rug but some of these can be quite a tight fit!. Lucky for me though as all my previous horse rugs were 6'6 and 1 6'3 for my 16hh + horses!
