One thing that I have gained from all this foaling watching is I have observed all the different sleeping habits of my various neddies. Most of mine seem to sleep flat out but here is what I have noticed about some of them:
My Grey 3yo - Sleeps flat out and snores like you wouldn't believe, everytime you go out you think someone is dying out there!
My Chestnut 3yo - Also sleeps flat out and suffers with wind... and i mean suffers with wind... funniest thing is she is such a prim and proper type during the day that its hilarious to here her farting all night!
Yearlings - They all sleep flat out in a pickled heap in middle of pen, they can't really be comfortable in those positions.
Stallion - is so cute, he lies down in the sit up position and looks so sweet.
Boo - Sleeps stood up and when I look in on her after the rounds her eyes are tight shut and she doesn't even notice me looking in.
