Horse slipping on concrete

Only recently, my lad has been sliding on the concrete, with back and front feet. He is fully shod, never had a problem until the last month or so.

Has the drier weather had the concrete different or is it something else? He had his shoes done again last night but he was sliding as soon as the nails had worn smooth last time. He has road studs in but they don't seem to last very long. He is fine on the grass and any other surface.

My horse is exactly the same. He was slipping all over the place on Saturday when I was out riding. His road nails have totally worn through. Am just riding in school and field till farrier comes on Fri.

When we have very dry periods it makes concrete and tarmac very greasy so its very slippery.
