Is anybody else having issues with HSI passports?

I need them to add in new vaccination pages as we’ve run out of room. Eventually managed to get through to them on the phone 5-6 weeks ago & was advised to send in passport with covering note to say what needed to be done & contact details so they could call to take payment.

I did this & sent it recorded straight away but still had no contact from them even though it shows as delivered a couple of days after sending. every call now either there’s an automated message to say the team are in training & to send an email or the message says there are no advisors working the queue & it cuts off … would be fine if they responded to the emails but they don’t do that either! 🤬

Luckily I did take photos of all of the key pages before sending it so at least have a record but vaccinations are now due and we still don’t have a passport!

Has anybody found a way of getting through to them very recently?

It took six weeks for mine to be returned for a change of owner recently. Its was ages after they took the payment.
Thanks, I can’t even get to the point of them taking payment although I did finally manage to get through on the phone today after 20mins on hold whereby they transferred me then cut me off. Now awaiting a callback but not holding out much hope that it’ll actually come 😕

Thanks, yep I think that’s the cause of their issues … I’m over 2 months in and still not got my passport back, not managed to speak to anybody that can actually help or even got any response to my emails 😕

If it makes you feel better, I know personally a lot of people who work for HSI and I can't get a response out of any of them (on a work related issue) at the moment

A LOT of breeders in Ireland are also tearing their hair out... HSI need to get their act together :-( Leisure horse ireland are recording all breeding and tirning things around quickly... maybe in time they will become more equal rivals?

I need to send one off for naming and change of ownership but still deciding if I am brave enough as worried I might never see it again! LOL

There are still problems there. I got a bit optimistic when a new hire actually started answering my emails (not passport related) but that lasted all of one week and I haven't heard anything in a couple of months now, which is frustrating.

In the end I requested to make a formal complaint, they can’t raise that for you either 🙄, but you can send it in via email & I did get a solution within a couple of weeks of that so might be worth trying that route.

They were fairly efficient back in 2016 when I bought my TB guy (passported as ISH as never raced) and updated his change of ownership, think I had it back in around 2 weeks or so

Send it to somewhere like BEF if your aren't in Ireland. They can do change of ownership and I've found cheaper and more reliable plus you get the UK overstamp.
It's the naming that's the issue really. With the way things are atm I probably wouldn't bother just for change of ownership.
