Horse still shedding winter coat

Anyone else's horse still shedding. I'm getting a bit worried now as is mid June! In case early signs of Cushings, but then maybe it's just cold!

Yep. We had a Shetland left with us with winter coat, now comeing out

We also have a Shetland that we took in a few weeks ago that is just starting to lose its coat now its on the mend. Our Thoroughbred hung on to hers and has just completeluy lost it. They were all late loseing their coats this year but our fields are open to the elements

We do have one that has a good winter coat

He did lose his coat but has grown another. We are thinking cushings or the fact he has EPSM.

Hi Owl. Yes - I have a 12 yr old rescued gypsy cob mare and she's still shedding the tail end of her winter coat. OR {{shudders in horror}} it MIGHT be the start of the shedding of her summer coat ready for WINTER ... aaaaaaagh!!!!!

She's still got a bit to go. My mini has to be clipped completely out every May as he's barely started moulting by then and he swelters...

My shettie has still got a wooly vest that is resisting all shredding devices and slicker brushes!

My welsh sec A still has a fair amount of winter coat over his back and sides. I too was starting to think something was wrong (ie. start of cushings) but we do live in the north of Scotland and maybe he knows something we don't!

honeypots - my Welsh D looks just like your shettie coat wise (in fact colour wise too!) He's 22 and i was beginning to think he might have Cushing's but I think he's just hanging on to his coat this year!
