This is the first I've heard of any horse being stolen from round this way and I'm not a million miles away from Keston. I assume kent horsewatch and the police have been informed? When did this happen?

Hope she's found safe and well. Poor horse

How do they know she was "waiting for transport to take her to chipstead/coulsdon" ?

Was just going to ask the same thing.

You may also want to post this in the 'stolen horses' section of the forum as it wont get lost as quickly there.

Do you have any pics??

The girl was seen with a chestnut horse on a clip rope outside layhams farm 3 wks ago this friday, which is when my horse went by a horse person who was a bit concerned as it appeared the girl was trying to conceal herself she told the passer by she had had trouble in a yard and that she was waiting for a friend to pick her up and take her to new yard in chipstead. I got a phone call by the passer by 5 days after the incident as she had seen my poster, and she told me the story.

She had called the yard owner and he didnt know anything about the incident. The passerby said she felt terrible, she said she should have done more. Bromley police took a brief note the day i reported her gone gave me a CAD no and havent been in touch again! In desparation i googled in so many phrases, hoping someone knew something. When this weekend i suddenly thought id try searching moving my horse to chipstead,up came H&H forum and a user grace123 and lifeofreily, which is why i joined hoping to find them

This may be a totally innocent imcident but the passerby was concerned as the horse was a chestnut and the yard story wasnt true. If any one knows these people, just so the police can check it. Any info id be grateful.thanks

And in reply to your i wish people would just shut up,no one would just decide that a girl standing in a lane was waiting to go to chipstead, the passerby spoke to the girl and if people just shut up we couldnt follow things up and we would just never recover their property, thats why people appeal to any info innocent or not. Im very grateful to the lady that called as at least there may be a small chance of it being her, until i can talk to these people its the only possible sighting.

Just had a call from a man in woodcote area he is sure he saw her a couple of wks ago,so map book out and going searching again! Wish i could get to talk to life of riley who had the conversation witg grace123 about moving horse from layhams to chipstead,as it all could have been innocent.thanks again.

Hi Mallyman

Sorry to hear your horse has been stolen, how gutting, poor you.

Just wondered whether you'd called all the local transporters in the area as one of them may have picked her up?

Does your horse load/travel OK in both lorries and trailers, as if not, people loading her are more likely to remember if she caused a fuss and likewise turned up at a new yard in a right state?

I'll keep my eye out, though I'm in West Kent so a little bit away from where you think she might be.

Was she in fit condition and competing/jumping, as I'm more likely to spot her at a show than in a field? She's very very similar to a horse I used to own, so more noticeable to me.

PM me if you'd prefer

Good luck

I am sorry to hear that your horse has been stolen.

However I can assure you that I did NOT transport any horses ANYWHERE and your PM was therefore incorrect in your facts.

I did indeed reply to a message posted by gracie123 about transporting a horse but after several PM's I decided not to offer my "services" and I did not reply to gracie123's PM.

Gracie123 referred to the horse to be transported as "him" and gave vague directions of "coulsden pet shop turn right at the lights, (towards wallington)before the new roundabout layout, then at the cross roads turn left and its 2 miles up there, and the road is called chipstead valley road, just before the bridge turn left and its is on the left, that road is called how lane... " as to the whereabouts of her new yard.

Again, I am sorry for the situation you find yourself in but I can once again assure you I know nothing more about this incident and I did not transport any horse anywhere.
