Okay so I have been working my TB (ex-racer) lunging and ridden work its all very gentle, just trying to calm her down and relax, all going well, until yesterday morning when I go to turn her out and she looks like she has plungers for feet and is having a job to get them off the floor, when she does they both ping up with a lovely twanging sound!!!! It looks horrific! there is no swelling, and she is not at all bothered, once out in the field she walks off okay but looks like she has limited bend in the hock, she is slightly bum high, but has has the physio out twice this summer, getting her sore rump and poll sorted, tack all fits fine, and its just really sudden, I don't know what to do, give her a week off? get the vet out? carry on riding gently? any ideas greatly appreciated!
