Hi,
my horse is such a fussy one to buy for when it comes to horse boots, they slip, rub, give her scabs etc. So I was wondering if anybody knew of any boots that were anti-rub, anti-slip because I have been using bandages up until now but because it is now winter, they get absolutely filthy especially off road hacking and I think my mum is getting sick off washing them.
The ones we have tried:
Premier equine sports boots, eskadron cross country/fixed tendon boot, tri-zone, even the woof wear brushing boots rub her!

The only ones we have tried that have never rubbed are the premier equine event boots but they are quite expensive and I want something more for everyday hacking and schooling use. :-)

Thanks in advance!

I would use the PE boots that you know wont rub and offer good protection, they may seem expensive but mine have lasted years and are good value compared with some, that they suit your horse means they will be used and if they do the job they are worthwhile. You can get a 10% discount and keep an eye on the daily offers as they tend to come on regularly.

The training wraps suggested are not tendon boots and offer very little protection in the tendon area and are certainly not a cheap option, the pair I had lost a velcro strap having had very little use.

You're are probably right, I've seen the training wraps have mixed reviews. So I think I shall stick to the PE boots. Thanks for the advice

Try boots that don't have a binding - the Woof Club boots are great - not expensive and last ages...i dont think its possible for them to rub!!! Easy to wash too...hose or washing machine :-)
