Deoni try dropping the bit down a hole or two then. Not all horses will tolerate it jammed up against their back teeth, which it sounds as if yours is. It could make either her mouth or poll uncomfortable. The wrinkle at the corner of the mouth rule is nonsense, it all depends how fleshy your horses lips are. Some horses will be comfortable with several wrinkles, some with none.

hi thanks for your reply. It is far from jammed up against her teeth though, I just wouldn't want it up another hole. It cant go down or it would be to low! Have ordered a happy tongue bit and going to take her browband off in the morning to see if it helps

Ok thought you said it wouldn't go up any more. Maybe you'll have to experiment with bits to try to find something she likes. Do the other liveries have any different types they can lend you?

My 3 year old has just started doing the same.
I checked her mouth and she has very prominent wolf teeth through and her bit is banging on them.
She last had her teeth done 3 months ago and they weren't there then so might be wise to check your horse if they haven't had them removed yet as they can appear quite suddenly.
