Horse to be the Angel of the South?

Not sure myself, the Kent horse Invicta doesn't look anything like a racehorse. There is a beautiful chalk horse on the hills near Folkestone which was done by a local artist and that is lovely although the council threw a hissy fit when it first appeared as they hadn't obtained planning permission.
Something more along those lines would be far better.
 
It looks just like a giant version of those porcelain statues you can buy! my aunt and uncle used to have loads... i think it's ok, bit random, but nice! why does it have to have a bridle on though?!

Really don't like it, far too bland. As Donadea said looks like one of those porcelain things... only HUGE! And as I don't like them I'm not going to like this. Then again, I think the Angel of the North is fantastic so I liked the polygon scuplture that has been put forward.

(and no, I'm not an arty-farty type).
 
I love the Angel of the North , I think it's great.

I quite liked the cubes idea in this competition to but I'm sure you couldn't havel light shooting up into infinity, could cause havoc with aircraft etc.
