I've not had a paritcuarly brilliant couple of months, so as a treat to myself I'm looking for a horse to ride/share. I would have to be within access of rail/tube/bus though as I don't drive.

My only other requirement is that it isn't a complete nutter and over 14hhs.

Breed, colour ect don't bother me greatly.

If any of you know of any can you let me know please? xx

Where in London are you?? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head but can keep an ear open depending where you are......

I'm in North London - with easy access to the northern and the piccadilly line

We're out West towards heathrow but will keep my eyes open. There is a yard in Edgware that my friend used to have a share at......Edgwarebury Farm I think. Perhaps you could call them up (they sell feed too) and see if you could put a notice up??

not sure how far north you are but I was in borehamwood looking about for yards not really london I suppose, but underground and bus routes are good) and I saw several shares advertised in a tack shop there :) but that might be a bit far!

The trick is finding a yard close enough to a tube station really - the only easy ones i can think of for non-drivers are the london equestrian centre (nr mill hill east) or Frith Manor (same). Edgwarebury needs a car really, as does Burtonhole farm, all the ones in Elstree, Mote End etc etc

The best website i ever found for shares in London was, weirdly, movethat.com. go to the horse and pony section and there are tonnes of north london based people looking for shares. I can't put the link on as I can't get onto it at work, but will look from home later

I know a girl who keeps her horse at Burtonhole, and apparently its easy to get a bus from Mill Hill East station right there. Havent tried it myself though, I'm an LEC girl!

Stargirl88, could you pls wing me the name of that tack shop? Also, I know a good yard in Borehamwood if you're still looking.

You could try putting up a notice at College Farm tack shop in Finchley, they have a notice-board which often have people looking for sharers, and very much in Northern Line territory! Alternatively, I think there may be liveries at Trent Park riding school, end of Pic Line so possibly worth enquiring there too - good luck!
