Horse too old for lunging?

At what age would you stop lunging your horse?

The reason I ask, there is a lady on our yard who lunges her 23yo TB. He has no signs of arthritis or joint issues, but a livery had said she wouldn't lunge at this age?


Obviously lunging is hard work on their joints, but... I think I would happily lunge my boy at that age?

It is all about the horse. If it is getting a bit stiff in normal life i would stop. If it is perfectly fine i would crack on. Keeps them nice and supple i think.

All depends on the horse and how its joints are.
