Ok so I know to some of you this will sound really weird and strange but it's something I want to do now I have the opportunity to!

My youngster lost one of his front baby teeth today, I noticed it looked out of place and when I touched it the thing fell out

But I've kept it safe allll day, and have decided I'd like to have it cleaned up, a small hole put through it and have it made in to a necklace.

Anybody done this before? Did you do it yourself or pay someone to do it? Any recommendations?

Any help would be great!

Sounds a bit odd to me but... Why not! :D maybe get someone to file it into a nice shape like ivory? Would look rather nice I would gave thought!

I'm not good with things like this, I think its horrible! But each to their own. All you need is someone with a very small drill, try your local key cutter or failing that a jeweller who does repairs on site. Or even your own/equine dentist may do it for you. I hope you're either already in a relationship, or don't want one ;)

Thanks for the ideas guys! Yeah it would have to be filed down as the bottom part has a sharp point to it. I think a jeweller may be best to ask? I had a search on google and i can't find anyone that does it. I just didn't want to have a go myself and ruin it :)

Ah yes gugglebum, my partner thinks it's a bit strange but he knows how mad I am about the horses lol :D

This is the tooth, the other side of it thins out about halfway down to the point. I would post a picture but don't want to shock the faint hearted

Lovely idea. I still have my daughters teeth in my jewellry box. Bless me.

My boy had to have a tooth removed in two bits having cracked it. I still have both bits.
