My mare travels terribly! I need some advice on best ways to keep her calm and settled when traveling as I am running out of ideas. She always travels with my little shetland whom is always very calm in the trailer, and I always make sure that she has acsess to hay. We keep the back windows open so that there is always good ventilation and the floor has got rubber matting. However whenever it comes to traveling she will load fine and we will set off, (driving very carefully may I add) but as soon as we hit a corner she will fall. My mare used to travel fine but one day on the way back from cross country we noticed a terrible crashing every time we went round a corner when we got her out of the box she was dripping with sweat and had shredded her hindleg shipping boots. So since then things have alway been this way
I need some ideas as I am hoping to do some showing/beach rides this summer. I have just ?purchased some of the NAF magic calmer shots in the hope that this will help to calm her when she is in the box, will it? Any ideas would be just amazing?
