Horse Transport from Bury to Preston

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows any horse transporters/horsebox hire to help move my horse from Bury to Preston? It's a 35 minute journey.

He's being schooled for 4 weeks, so I need him transported there and back. I've had a quote of £85 each way, so thats £170. I'm not sure if thats reasonable or not, I'm just looking for more quotes. :)

County Car Hire have a small horsebox for hire, but its about £100 a day, so that would work out more as you'd need it twice..

Shame the schooling yard won't collect him..
 
The price give is very cheap so you should be snapping their hands off!

Fill out the form and other transporters will reply back with prices so you can compare

Find horse also do a self drive option!

So check out those too as some self drives do a half day option!

So that may work out cheaper still
 
Boothroydens without a doubt. TBF, it's not just the journey time you have to allow for but getting to you, loading, journey then returning either to base or on to the next job; that all has to come out of a price. If you can be flexible as to dates then they might be able to do a shared journey for at least one of the trips.
 
I hired a small box from Barlows in Eccleston, and that was around £110 for the day (I was only moving 5 miles!), so what you've been quoted sounds very reasonable.
