Horse Transport From Coventry To Norfolk.

Hi all, just wondered if anyone knew of any horse transporter's that would be doing this route in the next few days. Have rang around and had some rediculous quotes.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

I could collect from Newmarket if that helps at all but would prefer it to be brought to Fakenham.

Yep tried Eric, he wont come this far over. Have also tried BBA, LRT and a few of the other bigger transport people. They want stupid money to Newmarket let alone to my door. I could have two horses brought from Ireland for the same price I have been quoted so far!

cheapest quote has been £250 .... I can have a horse brought over from Ireland for that price!! So just going to go up and collect her myself in the trailer YUK!!

If you brought a horse over from Ireland for that price it would have come over in a lorry full of other horses. The return trip from Coventry to Fakenham is around 250 miles. For transporting one horse that distance I think that £250 is very reasonable, £1 per mile, fuel alone would be £90 - £100. The driver needs paying & the lorry has to be paid for.

Have to say fakenham is the back end of nowhere and would be a bind for the transporters hours.

A lot of the main transporters often contact the newmarket boys to do the extra mileage for norfolk and suffolk!

With diesel prices through the roof I think you ought to be snapping the hand off the quote for £250
