Horse transport from Europe...

I saw here the other week that some people only paid about £200 to transport a horse from Holland (whilst I paid about £700 from Germany). Can anyone please let me know which transport companies you have used? I may look into that option again next year, and would like to have some suggestions...

£700 from Germany is a bit steep...
I normally pay about £450 from Poland, so add another 300 miles from German East border

Martlin - which transport company do you use??? £700 was the cheapest I was quoted in 2008! I was once quoted over £1,000!!!

I've used ECS horse transport in the past, but they seem to have downsized.
Chris Rose is very competitive on prices
I have also used 2 Polish transporters as they seem to charge per mile rather than per horse, which works out much better value if you have more than, say 2 to transport.
If you want their details I'm happy to PM them, but both of them speak very little English LOL

Lol, other than "gen dobre", I don't know much Polish - last Polish term I remember my best friend taught me in school!!!

I can do some translating for you, but I think you are better off sticking with the UK based or German transporters;
