I am most probably going to be relocating from the north west to the south east in early May and wondered if anyone could recommend a horse transporting company? i have three to transport.

Many thanks

Eric Gillies. Not sure of number off hand, but you will find them on google. They transported twice for me from Scotland to the South East and were excellent. Arranged overnight stops and both horses arrived chilled and relaxed. Not overly expensive either as they share loads (some people don't like this though!)

Do they all pick up from your own yards and deliver to new yards, even if they are rural?

You'd be surprised at some of the places we have been collecting and delivering but most can read maps! Just be very clear with your postcodes!

Eric Gillies do. They collected from the north Highlands in the middle of nowhere. I had to wait a week until they were going up that way, but was happy with that.

Me - I have PM'd you! Work from near Carlisle. Don't do shared loads and offer door to door service so no diversions to pick up or drop off!

Another vote for Eric Gillies from me. Moved my horse from middle of Scotland to south of England. It took 2 days and he came of the (very posh!) lorry looking like he had just come from 10 miles down the road. I was very impressed!!

Echo Gillies, they have transported a number of horses from Scotland to us in Suffolk, the horses always arrive looking well and not at all stressed.

Also their lorries are amazing, the one that came down about a month ago was a brand new oakley 11 horse (I think), very clean, plenty of space for the gees. They come to this area every week so guaranteed a shared load.
