Horse treats.

my other half took a notion to make some treats yesterday and i must say he did a fantastic job.

he used:-
some Dengie alfa beet soaked, some flour and some vegitable oil to make a dough. and then some mint and garlic for flavour before putting them in the oven for half an hour to bake hard.

The horses can't get enough of them!!!!!!

Has anyone else made any horsey treats before?

Not yet but it's on my list to do this summer. I've also bought some Uncle Jimmy's hanging balls - oh er!

i think they look fab might be tempted to try some of those when our stable are built

NAF minty treats are the ones my horse is mad for at the moment and they are reasonably priced. I like to look of those Uncle Jimmy treats but I worry about him scoffing it too quick....

I bought an Uncle Jimmy snack ball and the resident robin thought it was his. He threw a tantrum when my horse showed an interest and divebombed her!
