Horse tripping??

My horse has started tripping a little lately not massive ones but big enough to feel.
It dosent matter what ground sometimes he will do it twice in a whole ride sometimes more. He also does it when been lead to the field like hes almost not thinking about what hes doing.
In trot hes perfect dosent trip at all,feet perfectly off the ground....
I may add hes has a old injury to front hoof it has a crack in it full-time but is managed by shoeing n good care n hes always been fine with it had it along time now.
Hes nearly 15 has a few old injurys to date none of witch cause him problems..
So was just looking for anyones advise,info or anyone has a horse that does this??!!
hes been back in work about 12 weeks now after 13 weeks off due to a different problem so i just want to enjoy him :/ altho am finding it hard as i find myself looking for something as hes not really ahd the best of luck in life!!

i must add when he was in at the vets in may they said he has changes in his front hoof??? the xray showed a shadowed part..The bire wire injury runs all the way up the hoof through correnet band n down back of heel so i kind of expected changes but he leads a normla life with it..
Also they said he has ostioartheritis in back hind but none of theses bother him if any of that helps..???

Other then a slight bob he has
A beacuse he walsk so fast
B beacuse he would have had to learn to walk again after his injury but his head is totally still in trot..
And the odd stiff morning for a few strides behind thats really about it..
 
My horse trips if ive left her feet too long and it takes her a while to get used to them, so because theyve changed the shape of her feet it may just be taking a while to get used to it, maybe ask your farrier for some advice.
 
he had his feet done last week but went longer then normal n they was long for him..
when he trips he then makes him self jump and dosent do it for the rest of the ride..
hes had a long time of only been back in work 13 weeks rode most days..Recovering from a tendon prob!!
Sometimes also he can drop in his hind legs like missing a stride but though this was coz hes weak in there??!!from time off!!

Also he is under a phyiso and she said his improvments are fanatstic n only has a small area of soreness in the middle of the back..am tryin to rule everything out i can :)
 
My mare was tripping and had Mc Timoney chiropractor check her and found that her poll was completely out! She now hardly trips unless she is having a not paying attention moment!
 
eee im sorry to hijack but i read that title and thought something totally different!.............. Im sure my lad had magic mushrooms last autumn!!!!
