I brought Arch in from the field last night and he was in the worst mood Ive ever seen him in. He charged into his stable and his ears went back and he pulled faces at me every time I went near him. Then I went to do his water and he swung his back end round at me! This is not like Arch AT ALL, he is usually a very happy horse with lots of love to give!
Im wondering if this behaviour could have something to do with there being no grass in the field at all, what do you think?
When he comes in his is ravenous and 'attacks' his haynet like a starving dog!
OR could this behaviour have anything to with him being on Hayledge now instead of hay?
Any ideas would be greatly recieved as it was horrible seeing Arch like this last night.
I have put hayledge out in the feild today, so fingers crossed he's in a better mood tonight!
