My pony poo'd in her water drinker last night (before anyone was down). I noticed around 10 this morning and gave her a bucket of water before I tacked her up as I didn't have time to clean the water drinker out as I was taking people on a hack (work). I also noticed she hadn't touched her hay. She drank the whole bucket (I just assumed she was thirsty and she does drink a lot) I took her rug off, put her tack on and then she started shaking, and when I say that I mean violently shaking she was clamped in and staring at her water drinker as if she was still thirsty. My boss came to look and we came to the decision I should still ride her to see if we could get her to relax, she relaxed after about 5 minutes and by the time I got back she had stopped shaking. When I got back her water drinker had been cleaned and she went straight to it and drank for nearly 15 minutes straight. She seems fine now but she definitely got a fright. Any ideas if this is a horse tying up or is this something else?
