Horse v cricket match

I'm so pleased you all agree, I was told that it was a bizarre thing for a horse person to say and think. I just couldn't believe the arrogant attitude that expected a whole cricket match to stop for them.
Was also told wait til you ride your youngster on the road.
I'm currently working on groundwork with my youngster. I fully expect to meet spooky stuff with him but don't expect the world to stop for us.

I regularly ride my youngster out on the roads and the only time I've asked anyone to stop what they were doing was 2 lads playing football in the road, even then I only asked them when the ball went under my horse.

When hacking I mostly ask the super polite to come out from the tree they are hiding behind (which I think they think I being helpful) and I explain that my horse knows they are there and it's better if he can see them.

Or I tell cyclists that appear next to me causing a spook that they'd be better off shouting a hello as they approach - so I guess I do ask people to do stuff when I'm out but only as education for the next person.
