Horse v haylage ?

How long does a big bale of haylage last one 14.3hh pony?,she has ad lib of this big bale and lives out 24/7,, and so far has only eat a 1/4 of it,since xmas eve,oh the bale is in a shelter and only half opened,how long do you reckon it will last like this before it goes mouldy etc?

I'd strip it right back, get rid of the plastic and spread it out to dry. It should be OK, it's the plastic that makes it sweat and re-ferment.
